Tender asparagus spears topped with crunchy Parma ham and drizzled with rich, velvety hollandaise sauce create a perfect balance of flavours and textures.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch 1 Asparagus

  • 4 slices 4 Parma ham

  • Hollandaise sauce

Directions

  • Place a sheet of baking paper on a flat oven tray. Spread out 4 individual slices of Parma ham on the tray and place another sheet of baking paper and a second tray on top.
  • Bake the Parma ham at 180C for 20-25 minutes, checking to make sure it doesn't burn as this can turn it very bitter.
  • Heat the hollandaise sauce in a pan or in the microwave.
  • Meanwhile, boil the asparagus for 1 minute.
  • Plate the asparagus first followed by a generous helping of the hollandaise sauce, then add broken up pieces of Parma ham on top.
