Celebrate the season with our delightful Easter Biscuits recipe! Featuring a buttery, crumbly texture, these biscuits are as fun to make as they are to eat. Ideal for Easter gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 350 g 350 Plain flour

  • 100 g 100 Buttery spread

  • 1 tsp 1 Bicarbonate of soda

  • 140 g 140 Light soft brown sugar

  • 1 1 Egg

  • 75 g 75 Honey

  • 2 tsp 2 Vanilla flavouring

  • 200 g 200 Icing sugar

  • 2 tbsp 2 Milk

Directions

  • Put the flour, butter, bicarb and sugar in a food processor, whizz until you can’t see any lumps of margarine, then tip into a mixing bowl.
  • Whisk the egg, honey and vanilla together, then stir into the bowl with a wooden spoon. Using your hands, knead together into a smooth dough.
  • Heat oven to 200C/180C fan. Cut templates from card for the Easter shapes or use cookie cutters.
  • Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface. Use the templates to cut out shapes and re-roll trimmings to get as many as you can.
  • Line some baking sheets with baking parchment and lift on the biscuits. Bake, one tray at a time, for 8-10 mins.
  • Make icing by mixing the icing sugar with the milk. Add to a piping bag and cut a small hole at the tip. Decorate the biscuits and enjoy!

Notes

  • Perfect for a biscuit decorating activity!
